Course overview
The course is positioned for aspiring childcare professionals, parents, grandparents and caregivers. It combines child development research with practical training for caring for children aged 0–6 years.
It was developed by paediatric specialists, early childhood educators and child psychologists.
Practical learning
Two days of practical, guided training with written and practical assessment built into the programme.
Minimum entry requirements
- 21 years and above
- Possess minimally a Primary Level and/or listen, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3
- Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3
- Minimum 3 months of working experience

Refund policy
No refund will be provided where written notice of withdrawal is received less than three (3) days before the course commencement date, or on or after the course commencement date.
- 100%: Written notice received 30 days or more before the course commencement date
- 50%: Written notice received 14 to 29 days before the course commencement date
- 25%: Written notice received 3 to 13 days before the course commencement date
- No refund: Written notice received less than 3 days before the course commencement date, or after the course has commenced
