Introduction:

To equip learners with knowledge and skills to provide care, assistance and training in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Course Duration:

15 Hours Training Hours, 1 Hour Assessment

Course Content:

• Identify common chronic health conditions affecting senior clients
• Identify the importance of enhancing the needs of senior clients in ADLs
• Carry out proper preparation for ADLs in consideration of senior clients’ privacy and dignity
• Assist senior clients with hygiene, toileting and feeding activities including proper waste disposal
• Record ADLs and report abnormalities observed in senior clients’ conditions
• Respond to senior clients with chronic or acute conditions with appropriate use of first aid and AEDs

Mode of Delivery:

The course is delivered by a well-qualified trainer in a classroom environment
